Coresite

Coresite (NASDAQ: COR) is a Denver based realty firm engaged in the development of data centers.

The company was created in 2001 by The Carlyle Group as CRG West. The company changed its name to CoreWest in 2009.

Although it is a real estate firm, I listed them among web hosts as CoreSite has colocation offerings for companies needing rack space, full racks, rows of racks, entire rooms or buildings.

The company claims (pulled November 2015) to manage over 2.8 million square feet of space. The video shows the time lapse of a data center build in Santa Clara. I am waiting for the day when data centers have grown smart enough to build themselves.
