Bloomin' Brands

Bloomin' Brands (NASDAQ: BLMN) is hospitality company that owns a variety of restaurant brands including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar and Roy's.

The company was founded in 1987 by Tim Gannon, Bob Basham, and Chris Sullivan in Tampa, Florida. The company went public under the name OSI Restaurant Group in 1991 and managed to cross the billion dollar sales mark by 1997.

They over-expanded to 1491 restaurants and held billions in debt. OSI went private in 2006 under the direction of Bain Capital and Catterton Partners and held a second IPO on August 8, 2012 to raise $300M in capital. They trade on NASDAQ with symbol BLMN

Other brands owned and divested by Bloomin' Brands include Cheeseburger in Paradise, Lee Roy Selmon's, Paul Lee's Chinese Kitchen, Zazarac and Blue Coral Seafood. The company reported having over 100,000 employees in 2015
