Russell Stover
Russell Stover is a world famous chocolatier. Wikipedia reports that the company began in 1921 when Russell Stover's partner Christian Nelson invented a chocolate dipped ice cream bar that Clara Stover dubbed an Eskimo Pie. Others copied the idea.
The company moved to Denver in 1923 and concentrated on candies. In 1969, the company was purchased by Louis Ward and is currently headquartered in Kansas City, Mo. Recently, Russell Stover acquired the Whitman and Pangburn brands. The company has grown to become the third largest chocolatier in the United States. The company currently lists three dedicated Russell Stores in the Denver Metro Area.
