With a combination of Rocky Mountains and high desert plains, Colorado has a remarkably diverse economy. Just as a diverse portfolio is good for investors, a diverse economy is good for the people. Areas that receive the majority of their income from single sector often catastrophic failures during economic cycle. A case in point is the troubles in Detroit which depends on the automotive industry and NYC which depends on the financial sector.

The Colorado Competitive Council seeks to create a sustainable prosperity for Colorado by advocating sound business policies in key markets including agriculture, tourism, aerospace, bioscience, energy, IT anf finance.
