Shannon Morse

Shannon Morse is a blogger and social media influencer. She is host of the Youtube channel ThreatWire. In the video she talks about the recent cyber attack which propagated through the software updates distributed by SolarWinds.

This hack affected many federal government agencies (including the Treasury Department) and many Fortune 500 firms.

I admit I worry about the steady stream of software updates that my computer receives. Many of the updates patch security holes. However, if a mal-actor embeds in the system, the updates can become vectors that spread the malware.
