Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral

The Assumption Greek Orthodox Cathedral is the home of the Orthodox Church in Denver.

The Orthodox church is an apostolic church. The church was founded by by the apostles of Christ. The organization descended through bishopric in Antioch and Constantinople. The schism between the Eastern and Western Church occurred in 1054.

The schism was primarily about who had the authority to establish the doctrine of the church. The Western Church held that Rome could unilaterally set doctrine. The Eastern Church believed that doctrine needed to be agreed upon by a council of bishops.

In the video, the creator of the "Ten Minute Bible Hour," a protestant from Lander visits the Assumption Orthodox Church.
