KONG Company

The KONG line of chew toys was invented by a police dog from Golden named Fritz. Fritz was dedicated to chewing different things. Fritz discovered that rubber parts from the suspension of a VW bus were quite chewable and bouncy.

Fritz's human, Joe Markham, was observant enough to see Fritz's need to chew and began to design durable rubber dog toys that could stand up to Fritz's chewing enthusiasm.

The KONG Company has since developed a massive selection of toys, grooming supplies, and gear for both dogs and cats.
