Newton Running
Newton Running (from Boulder) offers running shoes designed around the natural human stride.
The video below is quite interesting. The video notes that when a person runs barefoot through grass, the heel rarely strikes ground. Hence, the natural running stride has people leaned forward and striking ground mid sole.
Traditional running shoes (with big thick cushions to absorb heel blows) have it all wrong. One gets better performance with a natural running form that better uses gravity and the ability of the leg to absorb and release running energy.
