Families First works to build upon existing support structures for children...specifically the family. A nonprofit cannot be everything to a child. When there is a family to build on, the best hope for the child is to strengthen the family. When there is not a family, the next best step is to find a family to support the child.

The web site has support groups for families, a family hotline and other resources.

My observations on life is that there are some families and groups that are so abusive that the only real hope is to get the child as far away from their circumstances as possible; however in most cases the best solution is to build on the existing nuclear family.
